1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the NullKeep browser extension or creating a NullKeep Cloud account, you agree to these
Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.
2. Description of Services
NullKeep provides:
- Free Tier: A browser extension for local password management, including
password storage, generation, health analysis, secure notes, and import/export — all stored
locally on your device
- Premium Tier ($20/year): Encrypted cloud backup of your vault, enabling
restoration across devices
3. Account Responsibilities
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- Your NullKeep Cloud account password and your vault master password are separate — you are
responsible for remembering both
- We cannot recover your vault if you forget your master password. There is no
reset mechanism due to our zero-knowledge architecture.
4. Subscription & Payment
- Premium subscriptions are billed annually ($20/year)
- Payment is processed securely via Stripe
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Refunds may be requested within 30 days of purchase for first-time subscribers
- If your subscription expires, your vault backup remains stored for 90 days — after which it may
be deleted
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the NullKeep extension or servers
- Use NullKeep to store, transmit, or facilitate illegal content
- Share your account credentials with others
- Abuse the vault upload system (e.g., uploading non-vault data, exceeding rate limits)
- Attempt to access other users' encrypted data
6. Data & Encryption
- Your vault is encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM before upload
- We store only the encrypted blob — we cannot decrypt or read your vault
- You are solely responsible for your master password and vault security
- We are not liable for data loss resulting from forgotten master passwords
7. Service Availability
- NullKeep's offline-first extension works without an internet connection
- Cloud backup services are provided on a best-effort basis
- We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice
- We are not liable for temporary service interruptions
8. Limitation of Liability
NullKeep is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum
extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for NullKeep Premium in the 12 months
preceding the claim
- We are not responsible for data loss due to forgotten master passwords, device failure, or user
error
9. Account Termination
- You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard
- We may terminate accounts that violate these terms
- Upon termination, your account data and encrypted vault backup are permanently deleted
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to
registered users. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which NullKeep operates. Disputes will be
resolved through binding arbitration.
